six month stats

We had Asa's six month well baby appointment a little on the late side, so we just got the latest stats:

Length: 27 inches (61st percentile)
Weight: 21 pounds (91st percentile)
Head Circumference: 18 inches (90th percentile)

Chunk-a-monk!  He is off the charts in weight-for-length.  Officially fatter than 100% of babies his age.  (How does that work?)  Ewan was always a big baby, too, but much longer and leaner - only around 8th percentile weight-for-length.  I'm sure Asa will slim down as he gets more active, which is really starting since he hit the six month mark.  It's hard to imagine Troy having an overweight child, and of course our doctor thinks he's just a healthy breastfed baby, so we'll just go ahead and enjoy all that chub!  And I'll continue getting regular adjustments and massages so as not to entirely wreck my back.

That's most of the news from his appointment.  He seems perfectly healthy, but his left eye tends to turn in slightly, so we're going to get it looked at by a pediatric opthamologist.  It shouldn't be a big deal, but he might need to wear a patch for a while to strengthen in.  Arrrgh, watch out, matey!
